Thank you for applying to teach at the upcoming NWMAF Annual Conference! We’re excited to review your application! The event is open to women, transgender, and nonbinary instructors and attendees ages 12 and above. (Note: during Super Saturday, the conference opens to all, including cis male attendees).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS (PLEASE READ):
- All individuals selected as instructors will be required to register and pay for the conference. However, please complete these instructor application materials first. After submitting your application materials, you will be contacted with directions on registration and payment.
- Instructor compensation will be $150 per class taught. If you are selected to teach, we will provide payment via a discount code for registration, OR via check after the conference, whichever you prefer. (In co-teaching or assistant-instructor situations, the second instructor must also be registered for the conference. Only the primary instructor will be paid, and may split payment with their co-instructor or assistant if they choose.)
- We require that all accepted instructors attend a one-hour online orientation, covering best practices and logistics for the conference.
- Instructors must provide verification of Safe Sport training. If you are selected to teach and need Safe Sport certification, we will provide a link to the training at our expense, after which you’ll send us your certificate of completion.
- NWMAF conducts background checks at our expense on all instructors in order to comply with our insurance and keep all participants safe. This step may not be necessary if you were already screened during the past year in order to instruct at an NWMAF regional training.
Please contact chair@NWMAF.org with any questions or concerns.
