The NWMAF General Fund supports our mission of empowering women and girls to achieve personal and collective strength, safety, and well-being through martial arts, healing arts, and self-defense education.

The Barbara Feldman Scholarship Fund
For individuals who wish to attend all or part of our annual conference.
Barbara Feldman was an outstanding woman and martial artist who will live on in the memories of her friends and colleagues. In addition to being a martial artist and teacher, she stepped forward as a leader in women’s martial arts organizations, serving as an officer for both the NWMAF and the Association of Women Martial Arts Instructors (AWMAI). Barbara co-hosted NWMAF’s Special Training conference in 2000 and had volunteered to co-host the 2013 conference.
The Peg Strain Women’s Empowerment Fund
For individuals or organizations for professional development.
Grants may be requested for attendance at the Self-Defense Instruction Conference, for funding speakers, and for attendance at other professional development. Grants will be made according to available funding.
