I'm a Counsellor and Coach with a longstanding relationship with a background in natural and ancestral health, sacred space, martial arts and functional movement, conscious living and Women's Mysteries. My pronouns are she/her.
I'm passionate about empowering people to live well; unlimited and unbound. I have a (mostly) respectful disregard for the status quo and mainstream culture. I've received a diagnosis of ASD1, which explains so much about my lifelong obsessive interests and deep dives in all things Martial Arts (including archery and rifle shooting), Women's Spirituality, and personal development / understanding relationships.
I graded for my first black belt at the age of 11 in Karate, and another in Tae Kwon Do at 16. Lifestyle and studies over the years brought me to creating my own MACS school, where my coaching is an experiment in all things nervous system regulation, neurodivergence, trauma-informed work, functional and efficient wholebody realationship, and gender balance (aka fucking up the patriarchy).
Motion Ninja Academy is an integrative framework for personal development. We teach skills in movement and self awareness, for wholebody wellness. Combining Martial Arts, Natural Movement and therapeutic techniques in an anxiety/trauma-informed curriculum for positive growth. Strong is Beautiful is a core principle and strong mentoring and behavioural role modelling for young people is an important tenant of my work.
As a Clinical Counsellor and facilitator of Women's Retreats, I feel very strongly about trauma-informed everything. I have a role in my local community as Chair of a group No to Violence, and I like thinking about the difference between fighting and violence, consent and control, and taking up space. I love talking to other clinicians who work therapeutically with their MACS.
