Becoming an NWMAF Empowerment Self-Defense (ESD) Certified Instructor

NWMAF-certified instructors
- Are skilled in building awareness, verbal and physical self-defense skills and tools for healing and growth
- Are knowledgeable about violence against women, LGBTQIA+ people and other targeted groups
- Have strong backgrounds in advocacy, martial and healing arts
- Support empowerment and community change

If you’re already on the path to becoming a certified instructor, you’ll have time to reflect on where you are in the certification process, any challenges you might have in meeting the requirements, and what help you can get to complete certification.
