Push Hands – What’s it all about?

July 25 @ 8:00 AM - July 26 @ 1:00 PM CDT

Push Hands trains the body and mind in much the same way as the Tai Chi Chuan solo form, only it is interactive. In Push Hands, you learn to become one with your opponent letting their force move your line of perspective to an advantageous line of defensive power. The Push Hands principles are to listen, adhere, yield, and neutralize our partner’s force which, in turn, motivates the push. During this session Master Young will playfully introduce you to these Push Hands principles so you can feel how the ‘magic’ of vulnerability can turn into strength.

Pre-requisite – Either having attended Master Young’s Intro to the Tai Chi Chuan solo form or having some previous experience with Tai Chi or Soft Style martial arts.
