Verbal strategies are key components of Empowerment Self Defense, but more and more, we find ourselves in interactions that aren’t spoken, like direct messages, group texts, social media posts, and comments sections. In this workshop, we will take key verbal ESD skills for assertiveness, intervention, and deescalation and practice ways to apply them to text-based interactions.
