Self-defense From the Ground
July 25 @ 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM CDT
What happens when the fight goes to the ground? What tools can we use to continue to fight back and escape? This practical self-defense class will explore getting to the ground safely, maneuvering and kicking from the ground, responses to a variety of pins and holds, and strategic stand-ups and escapes. The content derives from Empowerment Self-Defense curricula, Seido Karate basics, and elements of basic Brazilian jiu-jitsu. It is accessible to students of any rank.
