Sinawali Sticks

Come learn and play with Filipino partner drills. Using rattan sticks, we will explore simple to complex double stick patterns. Sinawali means weaving, and there are limitless combinations of strikes and blocks to synchronize. We want to share an abundance and variety of partner exercises you can bring home to your school. And looking more deeply, we can start to understand the empty hand and sticks locks and throws hidden in these dances!
