Diane L. Rosenfeld, JD, LLM, (she/her) is the founding director of the Gender Violence Program and a Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School. Her courses include Gender Violence, Law and Social Justice; Title IX: Sports, Sex and Equality on Campus and reading groups on Feminist Utopias and The Bonobo Sisterhood.

Author of the recent book The Bonobo Sisterhood: Revolution Through Female Alliance (HarperCollins, 2022), Ms. Rosenfeld is actively engaged in promoting its thesis: that creating unprecedented female-female alliances modeled on the bonobos is a promising path toward thwarting patriarchal violence. Her vision is that every woman should take a Self Worth Defending (ESD) class to connect to her personal power, igniting the creation of the Bonobo Sisterhood.

Prior to teaching at Harvard, she served as the first Senior Counsel to the Office of Violence Against Women at the U .S . Department of Justice . She was recently appointed to the Committee of Scholars for Ms. Magazine.
