The Motion Still Waters: VSK Jujitsu Seminar

July 25 @ 3:15 PM - 4:35 PM CDT

This session will cover combinations, joint locks, throws, and footwork, all designed to build both technical skill and fluid movement. Emphasis will be placed on understanding how proper positioning and movement create opportunities for effective control and execution.

A key focus of the training will be the integration of striking into self-defense. Students will learn how to deliver effective strikes that create a necessary “shock” to disrupt an opponent, allowing for smoother entry into joint locks and control techniques. This approach reinforces the principle that effective self-defense often requires a combination of impact and control rather than relying on a single method.

The session will also include instruction on balance and body mechanics, helping participants understand how to maintain stability while off-balancing an opponent. Each technique will be taught at both beginner and advanced levels, ensuring accessibility for all participants while still challenging more experienced practitioners.

Time will be reserved for questions and interactive learning, allowing participants to deepen their understanding and refine their techniques in a supportive and engaging environment.
